Tattooing is a very old practice, which involves insertion of ink pigment of the desired color into the dermis. It is practiced worldwide, across all cultures and is becoming increasingly common in India. Furthermore, it is becoming more prevalent among rural youngsters of India due to increased enthusiasm towards newer fashion trends exposing to increased risks and complications associated with it. There is a paucity of literature on tattoo except for a few case reports and case series.    Since there is no book published from India on tattoos, this is the first-ever book on this topic.
