About the Author Dr. M.S. Bhatia graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College& associated LNJP & GB. Pant Hospitals, New Delhi, did hispostgraduation in Psychiatry from Lady Hardinge Medical College& associated Smt. Sucheta Kriplani & Kalawati SaranChildren's Hospitals, New Delhi. He joined teaching Faculty ofUniversity College of Medical Sciences & Guru Teg BahadurHospital, Delhi. He is at present Professor and Head, Department ofPsychiatry in the same institution. He is also the Head, Departmentof Psychiatry, University of Delhi (having 3 Medical Colleges &12 Hospitals attached to it). He has authored over 50 Books (more than 20 in Psychiatry& Allied Sciences) and over 25 Chapters in different books.Having more than 150 Publications in various National andInternational Journals and over 80 publications in NationalDailies, he has won 16 National and Zonal Awards in Psychiatry andliterature. Dr. Bhatia is on the editorial, review and advisorycommittees of many research publications and national bodies. He isa Life fellow of Indian Psychiatric Society, member of WorldPsychiatric Association and American Psychiatric Association. Hehas worked in Delhi Psychiatric Society in various capacities, andis currently Editor of Delhi Psychiatry Journal.
