Today, we now eagerly anticipatetheGlobalPrecipitationMeasurement(GPM)mission,whichenvisions aglobalconstellationofmicrowavesensorsthatwillprovidemoreaccurateglobal rainfallproductsathighresolutionfrom2013onwards. Itisthereforesafetoclaimthreedecadesofresearchheritageonsatelliteremote sensing of rainfall.
