Rapid advancement in veterinary and animal sciences has led to the development of several new disciplines and research areas which includes biotechnology, immunology, bioinformatics, molecular biology etc. In earlier veterinary dictionaries and/or glossaries these topics are not well covered. Hence, the present book is written to include the terminology of these new areas alongwith traditional veterinary sciences and animal husbandry technical terms. This book provides precise and simple definitions of the various terms used in veterinary sciences and ready reference to various physiolgical parameters and different breeds of domestic animals. In the first section of book alphabetical list of the technical terms along with the illustrations have been provided. In the second section, various physiological parameters/characteristics of domestic and wild animals are given in the tabulated form. Thired section contains list of breeds of domestic animals along with their photographs. It will serve as a useful hand book to veterinnarians, students, teachers and field staff. Thestudents appearing for competetive examinations will also find it useful as it will provide them the latest terminology of the area.
